Reporting First Approach

Do you know exactly how your business is doing? How do you measure the success of your business? For most companies, a dashboard is a necessary tool. That is so true. In fact, Sharran thinks that building a dashboard is probably even more important than building a business. In this episode, he talks about three things you must understand about a dashboard to appreciate the importance of the reporting first approach. When you report first, you see your entire business come to life. Having a dashboard allows you to see data from across your business in a way that’s easy to grasp. When you clearly understand how your business is doing, you can gather insights to help you create action plans to propel your business performance forward. But without a dashboard, it's like walking in the dark. So remember to build your dashboard first before doing anything else.

“Numbers don't lie; we just have to ask how to improve that number.”
